Sciece Fair summary

My science fair project is about colors and heat absorption, and it's all about the ability for each color to absorb light. In fact, the color of an object depends on the wavelengths of colors reflected from the object. For instance, an apple is red because red wavelengths in white light are reflected, and the remaining wavelengths are absorbed. If the apple that is clarified by light that contains no red wavelengths, then the apple appears almost black. The reason for black objects to appear black is because all wavelengths are absorbed but none of them are reflected. When black objects absorb the light, the energy doesn’t just disappear, but more energy is needed for absorption. The procedure is easy, you just have to collect three shoe boxes with same size, and paint one black, one gray and one white. After that, set a heat lamp on top of the boxes and measure the temperature of the boxes after certain amount of time. After performing the experiment we have concluded that the color of an object does affect its ability to absorb solar energy. The data proves that darker color does absorb more heat than lighter color during same period of time
